A badly melted bow.

This Kayak was badly melted by a bus exhaust pipe when it was stored on the roof.

With the melted plastic cut out a large hole was left

A patch was made using a cardboard template to get the exact shape

The patch was tacked in place then welded at the bottom,

The patch was curved using a blowtorch and tacked in place before being welded in permanently, this was done in stages to get the right shape.

Hatch cut out repair

This kayak had a cut out in the hatch surround and lid to allow cabling through, the owner was going to sell the kayak and wanted it repaired.  here you can see a patch has been tacked in place ready for welding.
