A badly melted bow.
This Kayak was badly melted by a bus exhaust pipe when it was stored on the roof.

With the melted plastic cut out a large hole was left.
A patch was made using a cardboard template to get the exact shape
The patch was tacked in place then welded at the bottom,

The patch was curved using a blowtorch and tacked in place before being welded in permanently, this was done in stages to get the right shape.
The finished job and the customer is now out on the water again.
